Mixed-Use + Hospitality
Fayetteville, Arkansas
Introduction
Bridging warehouse history with modern design and dynamic urban spaces.
This warehouse experience reinterprets two historic warehouse forms, linked by a bold glass and steel infill that highlights their scale. Located in a vibrant warehouse district, the mixed-use development combines commercial, hospitality, office, and residential spaces, capturing the dynamic spirit of a warehouse district.

The interiors become immersive environments where industrial heritage meets contemporary comfort — spaces that feel raw yet refined, structured yet adaptable. The building’s story is told not just through its façade, but through every tactile surface, spatial flow, and detail inside. Expansive windows and thoughtfully placed terraces invite abundant natural light and frame views of the lush, verdant landscape beyond, creating a seamless dialogue between the interior spaces and the surrounding greenery. This openness fosters a profound sense of tranquility and connection to nature, balancing the rugged industrial materials with the soft vibrancy of the outdoors, and enriching the living experience with light, air, and a touch of serenity.
Summary
The project draws heavily from the heritage of industrial warehouses—think robust, utilitarian structures with exposed concrete, steel, and large window grids. This architectural language brings a raw, honest materiality that speaks to Fayetteville’s industrial past and urban grit. The bones of the building are strong, straightforward, and functional, creating a timeless framework.
To balance the inherent heaviness and rigidity of warehouse design, the architects introduce lattice-like elements that act as a sort of “skin” or secondary layer on the facade. These lattices create a rhythm and texture, breaking down the mass and adding an inviting tactile quality. Rather than feeling monolithic or cold, the lattice adornment diffuses light and shadow, imparting elegance and permeability.
